Suspense Author Sells All His Books for 99¢.

If you love suspense, you have come to the right place. I thought I'd let you all know that I'm selling all of my books for 99¢ until this Saturday. Then I'll start rotating my books, at random, for free, one every three days, for the next 90 days. I've written ghost stories, short suspense, full-length novels and a book on indie publishing. Reunion is an Amazon #1 best-selling ghost/occult by category. Twisted Vengeance is my latest, and believe me, my greatest. It'll creep the heck out'a ya - but you won't be able to put it down, I promise!

Many of my visitors read my posts on writing, but not everyone who visits, knows that I'm the author of all the books plastered over this blog.

Here's my list of books:

Reunion: A Supernatural Thriller (novel)

Twisted Vengeance: A Supernatural Thriller (novel)

Creepy: A collection of scary stories, including three (3) of my real supernatural experiences.

Killing the Giants: A secret society based political thriller.

The Indie Author's Guide to the Universe: Advice and Tips on what a newer indie author can expect, how to promote your work, grow your platform and tips from over twenty best-selling indie authors

You can read excerpts of all these books in the pages on this blog. And you can get a copy of all of them for 99¢ each.

  1. A good idea! When I have some more titles, I'll do something similar. I thought you were going back on your word and selling your books at 99 cents permanently for a while there.

  2. I just finished "The Indie Author's Guide to the Universe." Every debut indie author needs to read this. (I'll repeat this in an amazon review.) We need to raise the bar on quality stories, writing, editing, and covers.

I just debuted as an indie author - wish I'd read this first, but moving forward. Next time I'll hire not one, but TWO editors.

I've also read various opinions on pricing. While everyone is loving the cover, and the reviewers I lined up said they couldn't put the book down till the end, and I've guest blogged every day since releasing just over two weeks ago, sales are coming in at one book a day. I'm going to try the 99 cent price and see what happens.

    Thanks, Jeff!

  3. @Matthew ~ I don't think I'll do anything permanent. What I'm doing, however, is in line with my "Floatation Pricing" I discuss in The Indie Author's Guide. I have recently hit a "low tide" and so I switched the pricing. I'll raise the prices as I send each book back into a "high tide". In the course of the day (today), three of my titles dropped from 5 digits to four digits. Just practicing what I preach, although I hold the right to change what I preach on a daily basis. That's how fast things change around here.

@Nikki ~ One book a day is relative. How many titles do you have? How long has the book been published? Did you have a strong platform before publishing this title? If you are just starting your problem is not likely the book, but the fact that no one knows you. That will take time. Be patient with yourself and the process, but most importantly, keep writing, even if you have to sacrafice your marketing time. Marketing is much more effective when you have multiple titles.

  4. @Nikki ~ great. Time will tell. My sales didn't go from from less than$100 month royalties to $400+ royalties until after I had 3 titles, and even then it took a lot of work to keep sales moving. I suppose the big 6 are waiting for us to burn out, because they know what we are up against?
